WaterPath Toolkit Data Sources

All WaterPath Toolkit components, including the GloWPa model, are powered by a range of curated data sources, including publicly available datasets, open-access repositories, and relevant databases. By integrating and analyzing these datasets, we have created a list of re-usable data products that are openly available online.

Please note that the GloWPa model includes a wider range of (mostly static) input datasets that are described in the model repository.

For each data source listed here, its raw curated data are available online together with a set of scripts that can be used to re-create it (in case of data updates in the future). Each data source is described using the Frictionless Data Package specification and its metadata is available in datapackage.json.

Human Development Index by Country

The Human Development Index (HDI) is a statistical composite index of life expectancy, education (mean years of schooling completed and expected years of schooling upon entering the education system), and per capita income indicators, which is used to rank countries into four tiers of human development.
